Welcome to Ballylesson
Thank you for visiting our web site where you can find out a bit more about who we are and what we do in the Ballylesson community. Hopefully from here, you might find something that brings you to gather with us in person.
We aim to be a church community that is welcoming to all who come to gather with us as we worship God every Sunday, so we hope that the first thing you experience is a warm welcome! We are a group of people who seek to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbour. We want to always be growing closer to God, living transformed lives, and doing our best to be like Jesus.
If you are seeking the same things, or are simply curious to know more, then we invite you to come on the journey of exploring the goodness of God with us.
Welcome to Sundays
Join us for worship on Sundays at one of our two weekly services. Our 9:30am service is a traditional prayer book service of Holy Communion each week. Our 11:00am service of Morning Prayer is more modern and all-ages appropriate every week. Parish communion takes place in the 11am service on the second Sunday of the month.
In all of our services, we come together to offer God our worship, praise, and thanksgiving. We confess our sins as individuals and as a community seeking the forgiveness of God and each other. We hear the Bible read and our ministers seek to explain it so we can understand and apply it to our lives. We pray for our community, and the needs of the world. We try to do all of these things in an appropriate way to the context and life of our diverse make up of young and old, traditional and contemporary.

Our Mission & Vision
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is at the heart of the Christian faith.
Men and women are created in the image of God yet separated from Him by our rebellion against Him. In His unconditional love for us, God entered our world in the person of Jesus Christ – fully human and fully divine – to give a new life through the cross which reconciles us to God. Thereafter we begin a new life with Jesus as Lord which continues into eternity as He has conquered death through His resurrection.
The Apostles’ Creed affirms our belief in God as Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and that Christ was born to the Virgin Mary, died and rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will come again.
